PEACE KEEPERS ARE HONORED BY EXHIBIT

The art on display at the library honors the peace keepers of the world

On exhibit at the Chelmsford Library this month is a special exhibit dedicated to the peace keepers around the world by artist Daniel Varoujan Hejinian titled "Peace of Art."

There will be a reception on Saturday, Aug. 21. from 2 to 4 p.m. in the meeting room at the main library, 25 Boston Road, Chelmsford Center. Chelmsford High School students Vivian and Brian Tang will perform violin music.

Chelmsford resident Daniel Varoujan Hejinian is an internationally known artist. His art work is represented in private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad.  A graduate of the prestigious Yerevan Fine Arts Institute, he came to Massachusetts from Soviet Armenia 24 years ago. He has been a resident of Chelmsford for the past 18 years.

Varoujan is the creating founder of Peace of Art, a global traveling art exhibit dedicated to the peace keepers around the world, which intends to bring awareness to the human condition. "Peace of Art" represents realities of our society beyond the boundaries of culture or ethnicity. Varoujan is a multifaceted artist.  He has painted many corporate and religious murals, such as, the Causeway Street Mural, the gateway to the historical North End of Boston, 46 murals for the Saint Vartanantz Church in Chelmsford, and the mural of the Holly Cross Church in Belmont, just to mention a few.  Varoujan portrays a beautiful world in his romantic paintings.
